When he returned to Paris in 1960, he exhibited his works in the Valerie Schmidt gallery, 41 rue Mazarine in the 6th quarter. By then his work had become more abstract, and as well as his paintings, he added other decorative elements such as different objects, furniture and lamps....

Far from abandonning his projects in France, and supported by his friends Maurice Rheims, Jean-Michel Franck, André Arbus, Christian Bérard, he decided to install himself definitely in Paris in 1966 and to continue with his wife, his life in the social circles and devote his time to his passion, painting, before finally dying in 1975 at the age of 73.
The success of Marc du Plantier was due to his modern outlook, his aesthetic choice, at the same time sober and luxurious, his feeling for refined detail, his use of material both noble and simple, his genious for selting the scene and the decoration by a well directed plan of lighting.
Marc du Plantier was able to bring to his art that timeless feeling that even today continues to inspire our contemporary creators.
